Artnet is the leading international platform to buy, sell, and research art online. We connect millions of collectors globally with the world’s leading galleries and auction houses, with a focus on making the art market more transparent while supporting our partners in growing their business online.

As a specialist, you will be an integral part of the Artnet Price Database, the most comprehensive archive of international auction results ever recorded. In this role, you will build key client relationships to drive the accuracy, timeliness, and growth of one of our core products. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of art coupled with the ability to engage clients in moving their businesses forward.

You will be working remotely with our team, who are primarily based in and around New York and Berlin.

Responsibilities :

  • Copy edit and translate auction information from 80 to 100 auction houses
  • Update and maintain a calendar of auctions
  • Edit the artist database by adding or updating artist biographical details
  • Create relationships with auction houses to collect data, auction results, and timely updates
  • Provide outreach to clients on account matters and site changes
  • Collaborate with the Client Services Team in meeting production deadlines and volume for paying clients
  • Answer client questions about the Price Database and Market Alerts products
  • Collaborate with the Analytics Team in verifying the comprehensiveness and accuracy of data used in Analytics Reports
  • Track, follow, and resolve all customer issues in a timely fashion
  • Identify client sales opportunities in order to promote the use of Artnet products
  • Improve products, services, and tools by contributing ideas and assisting team projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in art history, fine arts, or arts administration
  • Proficient knowledge of the PC platform and Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient knowledge of Google Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill in English
  • Fluency reading and writing in Italian, Swedish, Dutch, or Norwegian is preferred. French knowledge is optional.
