Specialist Purchasing - External Services (m/f/d)

In this role, you are responsible for the procurement of external services, in particular freelance experts (excluding temporary employment agencies). You will work closely with the respective project managers and oversee the entire procurement process, from identifying requirements and advising internal stakeholders to tendering and drafting contracts.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

• Procurement of external personnel within the scope of freelance services in service and work contracts for projects in Germany
• Clarification of needs and definition of requirements in close cooperation with the specialist departments (engineering, project management, commissioning, etc.)
• Drafting and negotiating of contracts, taking into account the legal framework conditions
• Market analysis and selection of suitable service providers and freelance experts
• Conducting tenders, price negotiations, and awarding contracts
• Close coordination with various stakeholders on a case-by-case and project level regarding progress and framework conditions
• Placing orders, managing creditors, and invoice verification
• Monitoring supplier and service provider performance (quality, deadlines, costs)
• Close cooperation with the legal department and the compliance team
• Maintaining supplier relationships and continuously optimizing the service provider portfolio

Show your expertise

• Completed technical or business degree or comparable training with relevant professional experience
• Several years of experience in purchasing services, preferably in the EPC or industrial environment
• Confident handling of award procedures, tendering processes and contract negotiations
• Very good written and spoken German and good English skills
• Good knowledge of SAP or a comparable ERP system
• High degree of personal responsibility, strong communication skills and assertiveness
• Basic legal understanding in the area of external personnel deployment is an advantage
