Corporate Bank Technology - Commercial Banking

Our team is a global group of 3000+ coders across 30 countries. The primary businesses supported are Cash Management, Securities Services, Trade Finance, and Trust & Agency Services. CB Technology supports these through CIO-aligned teams and horizontals such as Client Connectivity, Surveillance, Regulatory, Infrastructure, Architecture, Production, and Risk & Control.

As a Backend Developer (m/f/x), you will work within an agile Scrum team to develop and implement new features for our products aimed at small and medium-sized corporate clients within Deutsche Bank.

Your key responsibilities

1. Actively contribute to developing a shared codebase for our online applications targeting small and medium-sized corporations within Deutsche Bank.
2. Utilize your engineering expertise to develop new features and ensure the codebase remains clean and industry-standard compliant.
3. Prioritize modern technologies, design principles, and agile methodologies in your work.
4. Participate regularly in peer reviews to ensure code quality, extensibility, and reusability.
5. Engage proactively within the engineering community, share your expertise, and build a strong network.

Your skills and experiences

1. Degree in a tech/scientific field or equivalent work experience.
2. Good knowledge of Angular, Kotlin, Java, and frameworks such as Quarkus, Ktor, or NodeJs with NestJS. Familiarity with Terraform and GCP is a plus.
3. Understanding of CI/CD concepts and hands-on experience with GitHub Actions.
4. Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, with the ability to write reusable, maintainable code and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
5. Team player with strong English communication skills, eager to share knowledge, learn quickly, and mentor junior engineers.
