We are currently looking for a
Lead Packaging Engineer (m/f/d) in Monheim am Rhein.
Your responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategies to drive business growth through sustainable packaging solutions
Lead strategic, complex, large-scale packaging projects with very high impact on the business within the packaging sustainability program
Collaborate effectively across functions and in global teams and liaise externally with multiple development partners in the packaging industry
Drive innovation by identifying and implementing new sustainable packaging technologies that align with the company's environmental goals
Develop and own expertise in a wide range of sustainable packaging technologies; define and perform scientific test programs and data analysis
Initiate and drive workshops
Represent the ECL in Technical boards and committees
Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
Minimum Qualifications:
University degree either in packaging engineering, chemical or mechanical engineering with 7+ years’ work experience preferably in packaging development
Strong organizational and project management skills as well as self-reliant autonomous working manner
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders within an international environment
Ability to adapt quickly to new and different situations
Fluency in English
Preferred Qualifications:
Abilities in the German and/or French languages
Previous experience in an international environment
Experience with Packaging & Packaging Waste Directive / Regulation
Valid Driving License in the EU
