Data Analytics Expert

Take this opportunity and apply for the Data Analytics Expert position to join DP World's Data and Analytics Team in Germany. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and systems, optimizing end-to-end data solutions, with a focus on Databricks, machine learning, and data modelling. This role is remote within Germany but may require occasional travel.

How you will contribute

• Collaborate with the Logistics Pillar and DP World regional operations to drive technological change within the group.
• Work primarily with Operations Excellence, as well as other functions such as Operations, Finance, HR, Sales, and Procurement.
• Support leaders in monitoring and improving performance within your Business Unit.
• Coordinate with the senior IT shared services leadership team (Applications, Governance, Transformation, Backoffice) to ensure alignment of solutions and services.
• Work closely with Group Technology Head Office on executing strategic initiatives.
• Maintain good relationships with procurement and finance to support DP World policies and processes.
• Assist Group Compliance, Group People, and Legal teams to uphold DP World policies and legal requirements.
• Communicate openly with IT and business leaders to ensure high-quality IT service delivery.

What you will bring

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer, focusing on Databricks and machine learning.
• Strong programming skills in Python or Scala (PySpark preferred).
• Experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Solid understanding of data modelling concepts and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, especially Azure.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Databricks Associate Certification is required.
• Experience with big data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark.
• Knowledge of MS Azure Analytics Services, including Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and MS Purview.
• Power BI knowledge is a plus.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
