Purpose : Assists in executing training operations, managing and training mission-specific workforce, planning operations, conducting mission manpower assessments, and providing daily/weekly operational briefings. Communicates operational status affecting the 405th Army Field Support Brigade area of operation to Battalion and Brigade staff and units. Coordinates information management processes to meet all internal and customer reporting requirements.
Essential duties and responsibilities : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to fulfill each essential duty satisfactorily :
Coordinates with CUOPS / FUOPS Manager on planning; interfaces with government representatives and contractor elements to ensure smooth operations and compliance; develops decision-making processes, mission briefings, and information briefings; assists in executing operational orders and monitors plans; provides recommendations for workload adjustments; identifies systemic problems and proposes solutions; assists in developing standard operating procedures, work instructions, and training plans; conducts and participates in briefings and meetings; analyzes data and provides timely reports and information; ensures safety directives are followed; performs other duties as assigned.
Qualification and experience requirements :
a) High School diploma or equivalent required.
b) Army Battle Staff Course, Support Operations Course, or equivalent preferred.
c) 7 years’ experience in operations management or similar.
d) Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
e) Strong organizational and planning skills.
f) Basic knowledge of MS Office applications.
g) Advanced English oral and written skills.
h) Ability to meet security requirements for base access.
License and Certifications :
i) Ability to meet LIS access requirements (Common Access Card).
Specialized knowledge includes operations, logistics, maintenance, supply, and transportation procedures; a driver’s license is required. Deployment on missions may be required on short notice.
