A Snapshot of Your Day

The Project Manager in the Sustainable Energy Solutions group designs, develops, and leads customer solution projects according to defined project management standards and customer requirements, with end-to-end responsibility for economic results, quality, schedule, and EHS.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  1. Take overall responsibility for project results, including budget, financial management of risks, opportunities, claims, scheduling, and EHS.
  2. Support the project team by delegating tasks, encouraging professional development, and fostering an entrepreneurial culture committed to safety, compliance, and Siemens Energy Business Conduct Guidelines.
  3. Lead projects throughout their lifecycle until final acceptance, including planning, contract management, integration of technical solutions, documentation, testing, and regular meetings to ensure budget and timeline adherence.
  4. Act as a consultative advisor on customer requirements, managing expectations, providing technical solutions in collaboration with sales, and communicating project milestones.
  5. Develop strategic target agreements with business partners and represent the project portfolio on relevant boards.
  6. Own full project financial targets, including proposal costs, controlling, and regulatory requirements, while minimizing costs and risks.
  7. Establish positive relationships with partners through effective communication, impact studies, and problem-solving.
  8. Negotiate contracts, change requests, and design packages collaboratively.
  9. Assess and manage risks and claims within the project portfolio, leading mitigation efforts.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a relevant field; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Multiple years of experience in technical engineering and project management on mid to large-scale projects.
  • Experience leading and developing project teams, including project managers and engineers.
  • Extensive knowledge of commercial and contract terms, with proficiency in negotiations.
  • Specialized knowledge of risk mitigation, claims, and quality management across project lifecycles.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States; Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
  • Business fluency in English and German; willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
