Strengthen our Team in full-time (40 hrs./week) as Software Developer (m/f/d) with JavaScript/NestJS and SQL focus. The role is available within Germany or UK remotely or at one of our office locations.

This role focuses on building and maintaining backend services, designing SQL queries, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance academic planning tools.

Your tasks

• Build and maintain backend services in a JavaScript/TypeScript environment, primarily using NestJS.
• Design and implement robust SQL queries and data models (MySQL) to drive planning intelligence.
• Connect and harmonize multiple data streams to generate study schedules that actually work.
• Occasionally dip into event-driven architectures and messaging systems like Kafka.
• Collaborate deeply with product managers, product owners, tech leads, and other stakeholders to shape the future of our planning tools.
  
  

Your Profile

• Deep expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript, with a strong focus on NestJS.
• Solid knowledge of SQL, particularly MySQL, including hands-on experience in complex data modeling and query optimization.
• Proven adaptability and curiosity; comfortable navigating uncharted territory and handling incomplete requirements.
• Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design and event-based architectures.
• Strong team spirit and excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus.
