Lotus Tech Innovation Centre in Germany is a leading engineering facility in electric mobility, home to the next-generation legends. The team comprises 200 experts dedicated to innovation. We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our Procurement team at our office in Raunheim, near Frankfurt.
What you'll do:
- Handle requirements from R&D and functional departments as part of our strategic procurement team.
- Develop and expand our supplier network locally, collaborating with team members and stakeholders to enhance our supplier and cost databases.
- Partner with suppliers and R&D units on innovation projects to support the development of next-generation vehicles.
- Serve as the procurement interface with stakeholders and act as the first escalation point for supplier issues.
- Develop local sourcing strategies and lead strategic cost reduction initiatives.
- Lead sourcing projects and negotiate prices with key suppliers.
- Participate in end-to-end optimization projects with cross-functional teams.
- Manage procurement systems and ensure compliance in order processing.
- Research industry best practices and innovations.
- Perform other procurement-related tasks as needed.
What you'll bring:
- A university degree in business or technical field, or equivalent qualification.
- At least 2 years of purchasing experience; experience in the automobile industry is a plus.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- An affinity for technology and innovation, with the ability to understand complex technical issues.
- Efficient data collection and analysis skills.
- Proficiency in German and English (written and spoken); knowledge of Chinese is a plus.
- Project management and teamwork skills.
- An independent, organized personality.
- Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, formulas) and PowerPoint.
