We are now looking for a
Radar Test Engineer (m/f/d)
to support software product testing, certification, and development of marine navigation systems.
The preferred location for the position is in Hamburg, Germany.
What You Will Be Doing
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of radar technologies and maritime navigation, actively contributing to the improvement and innovation of radar and related systems
As Radar Test Engineer, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Conduct testing of marine navigation devices, including radar systems.
- Prepare products for certification processes.
- Ensure product compliance with relevant maritime standards.
- Propose improvements and innovations for radar and navigation devices.
- Write detailed product specifications.
- Work within a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, designers, developers, and other stakeholders.
- Provide technical support to other departments, including sales and production.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- Extensive knowledge of marine navigation systems, particularly radar.
- Hands-on experience with product testing and certification.
- Familiarity with testing methodologies is a plus.
- Proven ability to propose and implement improvements to navigation systems.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
Will Be a Plus
- Experience in testing maritime applications and experience in seafaring.
- Experience in radar/ECDIS system engineering, preferably in maritime applications.
- Familiarity with maritime navigation systems (e.g., ECDIS, AIS) and integration protocols (e.g., NMEA).
