We are looking for an independently working HR Generalist (d/f/m) to join the team supporting employees in Germany and other European countries, based in Buchdorf. Germany.

How You'll Make an Impact

You are an experienced HR Generalist (f/d/m) who has led HR operations in Europe including Works Council/Unions relationships and negotiations. You have been accountable for the full employee life-cycle activities.

Working in an organization that has grown through acquisition, we are looking for someone adapt at operating in a complex change environment with a demonstrable track record to drive projects to achieve the departments’ change and improvement objectives.

We need a credible professional to join the team, feeling comfortable in global settings by building excellent relationships with senior leadership and the Works Council.

The opportunity gives access to the Global HR team with a direct impact on the global strategies and design of ongoing initiatives at Andrew – an Amphenol company.

In your role you report to our HR Manager, based in Buchdorf.

Some of your tasks

  • Independent processing of operational and strategic HR tasks throughout the entire employee life cycle
  • First point of contact for our employees in all HR-related topics
  • Active support of managers in all personnel matters and employment law issues
  • Trustful and constructive cooperation with our works council
  • Autonomously and legally compliant administrative HR work (such as drafting employment contracts, references, maintaining and maintaining personnel files)
  • Operational support of onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Preparatory payroll accounting for handover to our payroll
  • Management of temporary employment and support in the recruiting process
  • Preparing of company agreements and policies
  • Active participation in local and global HR projects (e.g. the introduction of a new time recording system or other initiatives)

Required Qualifications for Consideration

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree with a focus on HR or comparable qualification
  • Ideally 3-5 years of experience in HR
  • High integrity and a sense of responsibility
  • High social competence and effective communication skills "at eye level" within a complex matrix structure
  • Solid knowledge of labor and works constitution law as well as current HR-relevant case law (at least Germany and ideally also Austria, Switzerland & Czech Republic)
  • Careful, structured and reliable way of working with the necessary willingness for changing processes (e.g. interest in automation and digitization of HR processes)
  • Analytical thinking and numerical reasoning to use data and metrics to make valid HR decisions and identify trends.
  • Independence & proactive thinking as well as strong organizational skills
  • High level of negotiation skills and the necessary assertiveness paired with a pronounced service mindset
  • Confident handling of MS Office applications (Excel), ideally experience with an HR system (e.g. Dayforce)
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
