Position:IT Project Manager

Location: Bonn or Munich, Germany

Department: Center of Excellence for Project Management Infrastructure Services
Location: Germany (up to 80% remote)
Security Clearance: Not required

Role Overview:

As a Project Manager within the Infrastructure Services unit, you will lead and coordinate IT projects of medium to high complexity from solution development through to operational implementation. You will be responsible for meeting project goals in terms of scope, budget, timeline, and quality, while actively engaging stakeholders across departments and managing project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and manage IT projects from conception to go-live
• Translate customer requirements into IT processes and solutions, and guide their implementation
• Identify and manage dependencies, changes, and risks within the project scope
• Lead internal project team members and external suppliers, resolving conflicts and aligning goals
• Ensure comprehensive stakeholder management, including customer departments and internal leadership
• Conduct project planning and control with respect to schedules, milestones, and dependencies
• Prepare and present project documentation and reports as needed

Required Qualifications:
Education:

• Degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics, or another IT-related discipline

Certifications:

• Valid project management certifications such as:
  
  • IPMA Level C, PMI PMP, or PRINCE2 Practitioner
  • Optional Agile certifications: Scrum PSM/PSPO or PMI CAPM
• Equivalent qualifications with 6 years of PM experience are also accepted

Tools & Software:

• Proficiency in:
  
  • MS Project, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio
  • JIRA and SharePoint

Languages:

• German: C1 (fluent) required
• English: Intermediate (B1 or above)

Professional Experience:

• Minimum 4 years of proven experience leading IT projects of medium to high complexity
• Demonstrated use of classical and agile project management methodologies
• Documented project references required (with industry, scope, duration, tasks clearly listed)

• Strong communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills
• High sense of responsibility, self-initiative, and decision-making ability
• Structured and goal-oriented approach with resilience under pressure
