Konstantin Erkenswick, our Head of Technical Support, is looking to strengthen the team with a talented Junior Technical Support Engineer (full-time maternity leave replacement for 1.5 years, with potential extension) in Karlsruhe, working in a hybrid-remote setup for third-line support.

What We Offer You

As a Junior Technical Support Engineer, you will handle third-line technical inquiries via chat, email, and calls, providing professional solutions. After training and shadowing experienced colleagues, you will learn to resolve technical issues, translate customer needs into solutions, and proactively suggest improvements. You will collaborate with engineering and sales teams to meet customer needs and contribute to product development.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Technical Support: Provide third-line support across multiple channels, handling complex technical issues requiring in-depth problem-solving.
  2. Problem Ownership & Resolution: Manage support tickets, ensuring timely responses and high-quality solutions.
  3. Customer Needs & Technical Solutions: Translate customer requirements into technical advice and solutions.
  4. Proactive Problem Solving: Identify potential product improvements and provide feedback.
  5. Understanding Product Application: Gain a strong understanding of Nexus products in real-world scenarios.
  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and sales teams to support complex queries and align customer needs with product capabilities.

About You

  • You are customer-focused and solutions-oriented.
  • Tech-savvy with an understanding of technical systems.
  • Programming experience, preferably in Java, with the ability to interpret and modify simple code.
  • Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Positive, open-minded, and flexible attitude.

Qualifications

  • Background in IT, Computer Science, or related technical field.
  • Experience in customer-facing or technical roles is a plus.
  • Knowledge of networks and databases (SQL, MSSQL, Oracle, AD, SAML, LDAP, Linux, Container tech).
  • Programming skills, ideally Java.
  • Fluent in English and very good in German.
  • Knowledge of PKI and IT Security is a plus but not required.
