About the Role

On behalf of our client, a leading infrastructure and engineering firm, we are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Project Planner to support a major rail construction project based in Munich .

The successful candidate will play a key role in project scheduling, progress tracking, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the project is delivered on time and within scope.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed construction schedules for a rail infrastructure project
• Use planning software (Primavera P6) to monitor timelines and update project milestones
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to align planning activities
• Analyze schedule risks, identify critical paths, and support mitigation strategies
• Provide regular progress reports and planning updates to project management
• Attend planning and coordination meetings on-site or remotely as needed

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in project planning within the rail or infrastructure construction sector
• Solid understanding of construction workflows, particularly in large-scale civil or rail projects
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Fluent in English; German language skills are a strong advantage
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Munich
