Area Manager Facilities and Material Handling Maintenance (m/f/d)

You will be responsible for maintaining technical building equipment and material handling equipment at our Wiesbaden European Road Network HUB, managing a team of technicians and a maintenance planner.

Your objectives:

  • Lead and develop a team of technicians to ensure facility and material handling maintenance.
  • Support operational continuity by providing effective maintenance and repair services for facilities and equipment.
  • Ensure service providers adhere to contractual agreements.
  • Lead initiatives to improve maintenance solutions, such as synergies, methods, and planning.
  • Advise and support management and less experienced colleagues.
  • Plan, schedule, and control annual building services maintenance.
  • Coordinate fault and downtime report processing and follow-up.
  • Develop and execute maintenance concepts at the sites.
  • Present maintenance key figures, costs, and sustainability metrics monthly.
  • Collaborate with the regional and local Operations Department to implement technical solutions.

Your profile:

  • Degree in facility management, mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related technical or business field.
  • Experience leading technical teams.
  • Technical and maintenance expertise.
  • Proficiency in German and English.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical engineering.
  • Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in performance evaluation, setting priorities, and managing supplier performance.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, plant, and building services.
  • Ability to organize repairs, refurbishments, or build-out projects independently.
  • Experience coordinating remote teams and external parties.
