Join to apply for the Site Reliability Engineer/Platform Engineer, Managed Operations role at Amazon Web Services (AWS)
AWS is set to introduce the inaugural European Sovereign Cloud (ESC), a significant development in Utility Computing (UC). We are seeking experienced systems development engineers with a strong background in cloud operations to lead this initiative. As part of the AWS Managed Operations team, you will build and lead teams delivering high-availability AWS services such as EC2, S3, Dynamo, Lambda, and Bedrock, exclusively for EU customers. For more details on ESC, visit our blog: AWS European Sovereign Cloud Blog.
European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) is part of AWS Utility Computing (UC), providing innovative products from foundational services like S3 and EC2 to new offerings that set industry standards. As a member of AWS UC, you will support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, Platform, and Productivity services, especially for customers requiring specialized security solutions.
You will split your time between operating production systems and improving their reliability, availability, and performance. Tasks include root cause analysis, fixing bugs, executing critical changes, participating in design discussions, coding, and providing feedback. You may also participate in on-call rotations to resolve incidents outside of regular hours.
