Summary

We are seeking a Senior Solutions Software Architect (f/m/d) for the Divisional Design Authority at our Ulm site, available immediately. The role involves ensuring that software architectures across projects within the Multi Domain Solutions division align with divisional strategies and support System Solutions requirements. The architect collaborates actively with the Corporate Design Authority and other divisional design authorities to coordinate content, strategies, and solutions.

Your Tasks

1. Design and implement software architectures for complex systems and applications, both as company-wide solutions and project-specific.
2. Create divisional software roadmaps and define architecture and design guidelines in alignment with program and product roadmaps, considering overarching strategies.
3. Ensure the division's results meet targets in terms of time, cost, quality, software architectures, and software roadmap.
4. Develop and orchestrate divisional software roadmaps, coordinating between various divisional roadmaps, program requirements, and corporate strategies.
5. Coordinate concepts and designs with the Corporate Design Authority and other divisional authorities.
6. Professionally select additional software architects for group-wide solutions.
7. Analyze requirements, derive concepts, produce technical documentation, and present architecture decisions.
8. Identify and evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance development processes.
9. Ensure scalability, security, and maintainability of software solutions.
10. Mentor and support other architects, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to best practices in software development.

Your Profile

• Completed studies in computer science, software engineering, or a comparable qualification.
• Minimum of five years practical experience in software development, including at least three years as a senior software architect.
• Extensive experience with programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or similar.
• Experience in stakeholder management and persuasive communication skills.
• Experience in agile software development methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
• Strong knowledge of modern, modular software architectures (e.g., microservices, cloud architectures).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts clearly and visually.
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across disciplines.
• Proficiency in German and English.
