EMEA - BI Solutions Engineer

InterWorks is looking for a Solutions Engineer (m/f/d), who will work closely with our go-to-market and sales teams to position and sell the best solutions and projects for our customers. If you are passionate about building Data Analytics solutions across all industries (Retail, Education, Life Sciences and Healthcare, Telecom, Entertainment and many more), we would love to talk to you.

What are my responsibilities?

• You'll help our clients solve operational challenges by elegantly leveraging InterWorks' products, solutions, and partner technologies.
• You'll listen to our customers, learn from them, and help them understand the value of the solutions we provide and our consulting services.
• You'll develop strategies with our clients that help them position their businesses to be data-driven and innovative.
• Assist with scoping, requirements gathering, and exploratory meetings with new and existing clients.
• Create compelling and clear solution architectures / proposal content for new opportunities.
• Actively research, learn and evaluate new technologies in the data/analytics space with the broader Solutions team.

What do I need to bring with me?

• Impeccable verbal and written communication skills in German and English (C1)
• Personable and persuasive in customer facing situations
• Strong analytical, technical and problem-solving skills
• Curiosity and constant willingness to learn about data and analytics technologies/vendors
• Solid understanding of visual analytics and database solutions such as Tableau, PowerBI, ThoughtSpot, Snowflake, MS SQL, MySQL, Redshift, and others
• Solid knowledge of common data orchestration and transformation solutions such as dbt, Alteryx, Matillion, Fivetran, and Python
• Hands-on SQL skills
• Ability to discuss, position and explain the value of modern analytics and data architectures
• Enthusiastic, confident, and persuasive presentation and storytelling skills
• You enjoy trying out new technologies, exploring their value to customers, and honing in on new products and solutions with our Data Engineers, Analytics Consultants, and Platform Architects.

What other skills would be helpful?

• A solid understanding of evaluating solution architectures based on cost of ownership, build vs. buy, scalability, etc.
• Familiarity with visual analytics and data landscape (market competition, commercial pricing models, technology driven trends, etc.)
• Ability to approach challenges strategically to identify and address root causes
• Interest or skills in data science / machine learning, coding, project management or similar.

Salary range commensurate with experience and qualifications.
