Job Description: PLC Automation Engineer for Electrical Yaw System (m/f/d), Hamburg

Join our international engineering team as a PLC Automation Engineer specializing in electrical yaw systems. Your role involves development, data analysis, and software implementation for a system controlling electro-mechanical drives in wind turbines.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze field data to verify yaw system behavior
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and create functional specifications
• Clarify technical details and develop software specifications
• Implement software functions on programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
• Design, conduct, and document tests at component, system, and turbine levels
• Prepare functional and software documentation

Qualifications:

• M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or related field
• Experience in PLC software development (e.g., structured text, SCL, Siemens)
• Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink is advantageous
• Fluent in English; Spanish or German skills are helpful
• Structured, autonomous, solution-oriented work approach with attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in diverse, global teams
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for testing purposes
