Role Overview

As a Software Test Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping our system-level testing strategy for complex, hardware-integrated defense solutions. Working with multiple sensors—such as radar, cameras, and acoustic devices—and computing hardware, you’ll define valuable tests and ensure coverage across unit, component, and system levels. You’ll promote test-driven development, contribute to automated testing frameworks, and maintain documentation to improve code quality and system performance.

Responsibilities

• Establish a test-driven development culture for C-UAS system development
• Implement unit, integration, and system-level tests for safety-critical C-UAS applications
• Define and execute test strategies ensuring comprehensive validation
• Develop and run test plans for software interfacing with diverse sensors
• Review and contribute to C++ code in our high-performance, safety-critical stack
• Create testing documentation supporting certifications and audits
• Collaborate with simulation engineers for system testing
• Work with software, AI, and embedded teams to optimize testing methodologies

Candidate Profile

• 3+ years’ experience testing software in multi-sensor, multi-platform systems with a focus on integration and performance
• Experience with testing frameworks like GoogleTest, Catch, etc.
• Expertise in test automation and CI/CD pipelines
• Proficiency in C++ and Python
• Knowledge of version control, test coverage, and safety-critical testing
• Experience with sensor data (radar, video, acoustic) is a plus
• Strong documentation skills and a systematic approach to quality

Nice to Have

• Experience with ROS2 and middleware in resource-constrained environments
