What To Expect

You will be working as part of a current research project involving cellular structures based on triply periodic minimal surfaces (TPMS). These structures are characterized by their multifunctionality and high lightweight potential. Using additive manufacturing processes, TPMS structures can be produced tailored to specific applications. For use in aerospace components, a detailed analysis of their mechanical behavior is essential. You can look forward to exciting tasks in additive manufacturing using SLA and SLS processes, as well as experimental and numerical investigations of these innovative structures.

Your tasks

• You will familiarize yourself with the topic of TPMS structures and their applications.
• You will manufacture TPMS structures using additive processes such as SLA or SLS.
• You will perform mechanical characterizations – both experimentally in the lab and through numerical simulations.
  
  

Your profile

• Ongoing studies in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field
• Basic knowledge of Python and CAD design software
• Independent, analytical, and research-oriented working style
