Risk Reporting Analyst

The Risk reporting team is part of the Risk Management Department and is responsible for:

1. Ensuring daily reporting deliverables are complete across all regions in a timely manner (Europe, Asia, and Firmwide).
2. Preparing all weekly, monthly, and quarterly deliverables promptly.
3. Maintaining oversight over day-to-day production and collaborating swiftly with Risk IT to troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise.
4. Engaging with Risk Managers on reporting issues and their resolution to ensure accurate reporting for risk decision-making.
5. Automating and developing tactical reporting tools in response to business needs.
6. Collaborating with Risk Managers and Risk IT on new strategic initiatives.
7. Engaging with Risk IT to migrate tactical tools deployed in production by Risk Operations to the strategic environment.

The successful candidate will be a member of the International Risk Reporting team, supporting daily production processes for various reports across risk disciplines and regions. The role involves supporting automation initiatives to ensure accuracy and timeliness in reporting.

Technical and Core Skill Requirements

1. Experience in risk reporting.
2. Degree educated.
3. Advanced Excel & VBA skills; Python (preferable) or R knowledge/experience.
4. Ability to construct, develop, and maintain practical yet robust tactical tools.
5. Experience working with large datasets and data manipulation.
6. Ability to navigate systems, access data, and identify discrepancies.
7. Knowledge of investment banking business models, capital market products, and financial products (fixed income, equity, derivatives) is advantageous.
8. A team player comfortable in a dynamic environment.
9. Ability to work independently and take responsibility for projects.
10. Good time management, attention to detail, responsiveness, and communication skills.
11. Ability to collaborate effectively in a busy environment.
