Professorship Artificial Intelligence on Campus (m/f/d)

For the winter term of 2025/26, we are seeking a professor (m/f/d) for the degree program Artificial Intelligence at IU International University, limited to 2 years at our campus in Berlin, full-time (5 days on campus) or part-time (3 days on campus), starting on October 1st, 2025.

• You represent the field of Artificial Intelligence in teaching and research within the bachelor's degree program and become part of an extensive network in the field of higher education (see the coursebook for more insights).
• You develop and lead face-to-face lectures on campus and are responsible for the individual supervision of students during exams and thesis preparation.
• You teach practice-oriented fundamental knowledge in Artificial Intelligence and can train students in areas such as Machine Learning and Deep Learning.
• You contribute to the creative development of teaching formats within IU’s didactic concept and collaborate closely with colleagues to enhance these formats.

Your Profile

At IU International University, we focus on delivering practical knowledge. Therefore, we seek an expert in Artificial Intelligence with professional experience, scientific expertise, and didactic skills that will enhance our teaching.

• You have successfully completed a university degree in Artificial Intelligence or a related field with outstanding academic performance and hold a relevant doctoral degree (Ph.D.).
• You have at least five years of practical work experience, including three years outside academia, and may have initial experience in academic teaching.
• You demonstrate your expertise through publications or projects.
• You work team-oriented and reliable and are committed to in-person teaching while also capable of conducting virtual lectures.
• You reside permanently in Germany.
• You have English language skills at C1 level of the CEFR.

The employment requirements are governed by the Higher Education Law Thüringen.
