The Opportunity

This position is within our Abbott Diabetes Care division—Abbott GmbH. We focus on helping people with diabetes manage their health with innovative products that provide accurate data to support better decisions. We are revolutionizing glucose monitoring with our new sensing technology.

Your Tasks:

  • Achieving sales and market share targets, driving profitable growth
  • Leading, developing, and coaching a high-performing sales team of Regional Sales Managers in Germany
  • Developing and managing relationships with high-profile customers, accounts, and opinion leaders
  • Representing the business at key internal and external events and business reviews
  • Developing and implementing strategies for product launches
  • Monitoring and analyzing competitors’ products and strategies, and driving business responses
  • Developing sales strategies and tactics, ensuring successful execution
  • Forecasting national sales and market share development
  • Managing costs according to plans and guidelines

Your Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate diploma or university degree with relevant business experience
  • Proven leadership success over several years
  • Experience in sales analysis and strategic sales approaches
  • Experience in strategy development and tactical execution
  • Experience in P&L management, forecasting, and cost control
  • Strong personal and professional discipline and balance
  • Excellent German and English language skills (written and spoken)
