Key Responsibilities of the Role :

  • Establish performance and delivery criteria to meet client requirements.
  • Liaise with clients to build trusting relationships and explore future project opportunities.
  • Develop and oversee quality control procedures; collaborate on project cost estimation and value engineering.
  • Work with clients on KPI development and implementation.
  • Promote Mercury’s safety standards onsite and participate in Safety Leadership Teams.
  • Ensure quality focus on site through ‘Right First Time’ initiatives.
  • Report progress at weekly client update meetings.
  • Coordinate with the Commercial team to ensure timely issuance of contracts, purchase orders, payment certificates, and change orders.
  • Manage Mercury’s onsite team and coordinate internal resources, including travel arrangements.
  • Create installed drawings and O&M Manuals.
  • Plan resources such as labor, materials, and subcontractors.
  • Lead and manage a large team to meet project requirements and deadlines.
  • Ensure requisitions, purchase orders, and deliveries are processed promptly.
  • Develop detailed construction schedules with the project planner.
  • Possess detailed knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems and equipment, including UPS, STS, EPMS, BMS, Generators, Busbar systems, and PDU’s.
  • Understand the dynamics of working in a live environment, maintaining client systems during construction.
  • Liaise with clients regarding permits and participate in RAMS and permit development.
  • Comply with COHE policies, coordinating with vendors and subcontractors for LOTO procedures.
  • Perform all other duties related to this role.

Essential Criteria for the Role :

  • Trade qualification or relevant third qualification.
  • 5-10 years of experience in Project Management.
  • Proven experience managing large installation projects.
  • Experience handling IR issues.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
  • Experience in design and build projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Capability to lead large-scale projects.
