IT Architect Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team with the following responsibilities and requirements:

1. Work with stakeholders to design and develop dashboard indicators that detect and communicate operational risk via a central dashboard. This includes all components of the solution, metrics, measurement, and tools integration.
2. Design and apply robust data models using industry-standard methods.
3. Have an excellent grasp of the Software Development Lifecycle, including source code management.
4. Responsible for development, testing, debugging, optimization, and release of code.
5. Demonstrable experience with custom UI development and interactive reporting.
6. Maintain and enforce SQL and PL/SQL development coding standards and best practices.
7. Assist in producing and maintaining technical documentation, user documentation, and process guidelines.
8. Exhibit strong leadership skills and a dedication to achieving business outcomes and meeting project deadlines.
9. Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members, stakeholders, and clients using various techniques and collaboration channels.
10. Have a strong understanding of Oracle technology, including OEM and Oracle's product roadmap.

Skills and Experience

The candidates should have:

1. Several years of experience in both development and infrastructure projects.
2. Relevant experience in software product development using Oracle Application Express, Java, and Python, with strong modelling and design capabilities. Technical areas may include, but are not limited to, RDBMS databases, ZFS backups, Oracle monitoring, and alerting.
3. A demonstrable track record of delivering similar developments.
4. Experience within a tier banking environment, ideally with bank infrastructure.
5. The ability to work effectively in virtual global teams within a matrix organization.
6. Extensive analytical skills and flexibility in problem-solving.
7. An open-minded approach, with the ability to share information and transfer knowledge to team members.
8. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
9. Self-confidence.

Educational Requirements

Candidates should have a degree from an accredited college or university in IT or a computer science-related discipline (or an equivalent diploma or technical qualification).
