What you will do at reisetopia

As our Director of Engineering, you will be part of our Management Team and have the opportunity to build, develop, and manage a top-notch engineering team capable of tackling development projects, building scalable infrastructure, and fixing bugs.

Your main areas of responsibility will include :

1. Overseeing all projects & tickets with the Lead Developer to predict execution timelines and match actual timelines.
2. Owning product delivery by building efficient, scalable processes for engineering work in collaboration with our Product Lead.
3. Hiring new developers, assessing current capacities, and proactively suggesting team additions while managing budgets.
4. Conducting yearly goal setting, feedback, and result meetings with the Lead Developer and senior employees to support their development.
5. Contributing to the company’s strategic development as part of the management team.
6. Managing communication with all stakeholders, including project leads, to ensure aligned priorities.

Technical priorities & objectives include :

1. Technical enhancement and scalable expansion of the suitespot hotel search.
2. Improving load times for the website and hotel search.
3. Development and expansion of financial comparison tools and new technical solutions.

Qualifications we expect from you

We are looking for someone fully committed from day one, passionate about leading our team and implementing tech projects.

Required qualifications :

• 7+ years in full-stack development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong communication and team leadership skills.
• Excellent analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with modern TypeScript, React, Redux, Express.js, MongoDB, MySQL, Jest, Selenium/Cypress, Next.js, WordPress, AWS Lambda, Docker, Ansible, Serverless Framework.
• Experience managing complex projects and creating scalable platforms.
• Experience in startup environments and agile teams is a plus.
• Fluency in English; German is a plus.

The annual gross salary ranges from €80,000 to €100,000, depending on experience.
