Job Purpose/Summary:

Reporting to the General Manager of MPS Obersulm, with a dotted line to the Regional Finance Manager Central & Eastern Europe, this role will support the Finance function at the MPS Obersulm facility. The role involves ensuring compliance with policies, managing Financial Planning & Analysis, and acting as a business partner for operational and support functions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Partner with operational and functional leads, providing support, guidance, and advice to them and regional management.
2. Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring the accuracy of the balance sheet and income statement, and inform regional management of financial impacts in a timely manner.
3. Complete relevant monthly reporting packs and requirements.
4. Manage and prepare the annual operating plan and quarterly forecasts.
5. Drive change initiatives, and lead development and efficiency improvements.
6. Lead financial control and assess CAPEX projects, allocations, and forecasts for your sites.
7. Monitor and implement internal controls following company policies and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) principles.
8. Coordinate tax returns, financial statements, and compliance matters.
9. Serve as the key contact for annual audits and tax topics.
10. Support strategic factory planning (medium and long term).
11. Oversee the preparation of statutory financial statements and statistical filings.
12. Supervise tax concerns including VAT.
13. Manage and develop the local finance team, including treasury, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Finance with at least five years of professional experience.

• Knowledge in accounting, controlling, and reporting.
• Proactive, hardworking, and able to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, numeracy, organizational, and communication skills (including English).
• Self-motivated, problem solver, able to work independently.
• Ability to prioritize and work under pressure.
• Ability to present data clearly and logically.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Flexible and willing to take on additional tasks.
• Knowledge of SAP FI module and ERP systems; Hyperion knowledge is a plus.
