We are seeking a Director of Quality Control (m/f/d). The director will develop and implement evaluation programs to ensure production meets quality, integrity, and efficiency standards from raw materials to finished products.
This is an unlimited position.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing the Quality Control department and supervisory team
- Conducting performance evaluations and supporting employee development
- Handling disciplinary actions and terminations in line with company policies
- Evaluating production operations strategically to ensure product quality and compliance
- Collaborating with management to set quality standards
- Building a high-performing organization and envisioning the lab of the future
- Coordinating laboratory planning and budgeting
- Implementing lean QC operational principles
- Facilitating communication between production and management
- Assessing test results and approving changes
- Reviewing quality control documentation for accuracy and relevance
- Conducting inspections and quality checks
- Reporting on quality control status to leadership and regulatory agencies
- Ensuring a safe work environment compliant with regulations
- Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, Microbiology or related field; Master's preferred
- 8-10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years as a quality engineer or similar role
- Experience as a team leader or supervisor
- Excellent communication skills in English and German
- Strong understanding of quality control standards, manufacturing, and production
- Business acumen, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
