We are seeking a highly motivated and creative individual (m/f/d) interested in an engineering role focused on the integration and characterization of acoustic transducers within complex MEMS systems. As a MEMS Architect & Data Specialist, you will contribute to innovative projects in consumer electronics and IoT, developing new applications for intelligent MEMS sensors and actuators.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a MEMS Architect, managing project interfaces related to MEMS design, characterization, data engineering, ASIC, and system integration.
  • Collaborate with laboratory colleagues to analyze characterization and qualification data, deriving insights on transducer performance and reliability; employ interpretation, modeling, and mathematical evaluation techniques to identify opportunities for design and testing improvements; communicate findings effectively.
  • Deepen understanding of MEMS transducers, including physical principles, topological design, semiconductor technology, and material properties.
  • Understand use cases and sub-components of acoustic systems, including packaging and embedded software.
  • Create comprehensive documentation of data analysis processes, models, and results; present findings to internal teams and external stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Excellent interdisciplinary understanding and communication skills; customer-oriented with a creative, entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Independent, goal-oriented work approach; analytical, structured, and organized.
  • Deep knowledge of system testing, MEMS components, and measurement systems; proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Python) and database querying languages (e.g., SQL); several years of relevant experience in audio or MEMS design, characterization, system integration, or measurement systems.
  • Fluent English (C1); advanced German (B2) skills are a plus.
  • Educational background: M.Sc./Dipl. in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, Microsystems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields; PhD with relevant experience is also welcomed.
