Job Overview
The Manufacturing Lead is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient GMP processing of cannabis plants to create various market products. They also oversee that technicians follow SOPs and EU-GMP requirements to ensure consistent, high-quality processing of medicinal products.
Role and Responsibilities
- Support planning processes, organize staff tasks and shift rotations.
- Manage material stocks and transactions according to the plan.
- Communicate and assist other manufacturing departments as needed.
- Maintain high-quality documentation in line with regulatory guidance and SOPs.
- Compile and analyze production batch records.
- Conduct in-process quality checks on products.
- Support manufacturing and cleaning processes as needed.
- Document work processes.
- Coordinate work orders, physical inventory, and ensure accuracy of inventory counts and transactions.
- Perform other duties related to manufacturing processes as required.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High School diploma (preferably) or education as a pharmaceutical technical assistant (PTA) or Pharmakant.
- Minimum 1-year experience in processing or producing medicinal or food products in a manufacturing or production setting.
- Experience in team management.
- GMP manufacturing experience is an asset.
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to focus on tasks.
- Ability to perform and adhere to Good Documentation Practices.
- Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
