EHS Manager (m/f/d)

Your mission

  • Organize, coordinate, and monitor the Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) management system including electrical safety in accordance with DGUV V2 and DGUV V3, ensuring compliance with EHS requirements of Huawei global organization, customers, and local law;
  • Actively contribute to an environment protection plan focusing on all aspects of the lifecycle of electrical systems (WEEE directive, REACH regulation, Battery acts, Control system EAR);
  • Communicate within the Huawei organization and with customers, subcontractors, and project teams on all aspects of the environmental/occupational health and safety management system in a timely manner;
  • Organize EHS control and sampling, accident investigation and reporting; perform timely and effective handling of EHS incidents/accidents and violations;
  • Organize regular reporting to project managers about the operation status and improvement requirements of the EHS management system and Supplier EHS performance;
  • Establish a comprehensive documentation system for EHS management and record the management process;
  • Conduct supplier EHS management system audits, as well as EHS onsite assessments;

Your areas of expertise

  • German “Elektro-Meister” title or Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering;
  • Qualified under DGUV V2 as expert for Health and Safety minimum class 3 (Ausbildungsstufen 1-3);
  • Additional qualification in Environmental or Occupational Safety;
  • Knowledge of EHS requirements and compliance implementation experience; 5+ years within EHS;
  • Ability to coach, support and train managers and subcontractors regarding EHS management awareness, legal compliance, and best practices;
  • Ability to develop and effectively deliver EHS trainings;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English and German;
  • Flexibility and ability to prioritize and balance multiple ongoing tasks;
