Your Role

As a founding Senior Machine Learning Engineer on our innovative Mission Control team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of our products. Your solutions will transform Staffbase customers into strategic storytellers and help measure impact of their communications. You will drive the development of scalable, robust ML-based systems that redefine customer’s experiences.

What you’ll be doing

• Build & Deploy ML Solutions: Build and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable ML pipelines for processing large volumes of textual data. Work with orchestration tools (e.g., Dagster) to manage complex data workflows

• Collaborate & Innovate: Work cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams to create user-centric, ML-driven solutions

• Experiment & Learn: Run experiments, embrace fast failures, and iterate quickly for continuous product improvement

• Mentor & Grow: Share knowledge, support team growth, and stay ahead of AI trends to drive innovation

What you need to be successful

• 5+ years of experience in Machine Learning

• 2+ years of experience in Natural Language Processing

• 6+ months of experience with building applications leveraging Large Language Models

• Experience with MLOps best practices, model monitoring, and model versioning

• Experience working in a product team in a software development environment

• Proven experience leading ML projects, making strategic technical decisions, and mentoring engineers and data scientists

• Experience building and deploying ML models in cloud environments, utilizing containerization and orchestration tools

• Strong product-oriented thinking with a deep understanding of customer needs and domain-specific challenges

• Strong programming and engineering skills, with the ability to design, build, and maintain scalable ML systems
