Division Head (Automotive) (m/f/d)

MinebeaMitsumi Technology Center Europe GmbH is the European research and development center of the international MinebeaMitsumi Group. With more than 450 employees at the Villingen-Schwenningen location, we develop drive systems, technologies, and precision products that move the world.

Your responsibilities will be:

1. Strategic and operational management:
   • Identify target markets and opportunities to shape the division's strategy across product lines, regions, and customer segments.
   • Design and implement strategic directions aligned with corporate goals.
   • Monitor industry trends and the competitive landscape to adapt strategies accordingly.
   • Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to meet market needs profitably.
   • Ensure quality, cost, and time targets are met according to automotive standards.
2. Division and program management:
   • Coordinate and monitor multiple development and series projects.
   • Work closely with OEMs, suppliers, and internal departments, including division and project controllers.
   • Establish KPIs and metrics to evaluate performance at division, employee, and project levels.
   • Manage product and department P&L figures and performance.
   • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
3. Personnel management:
   • Lead, motivate, and develop teams across divisions in an international environment.
   • Plan resources and capacities effectively.
   • Promote an innovative work culture focused on continuous improvement.
4. Communication and stakeholder management:
   • Maintain regular communication and reporting with customers, suppliers, and internal partners.
   • Prepare reports and presentations for top management and stakeholders.
   • Oversee product P&L and report to top management and BU Head.

Required skills and experience:

• Degree in engineering, automotive engineering, or industrial engineering.
• Several years of managerial experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Familiarity with automotive methods and processes such as APQP, A-SPICE, VDA 6.3.
• Experience in cost, budget, and resource management.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Assertiveness and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• High self-organization and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel.
• Fluent in German and English.
