• 5+ years of practical experience in PV+BESS design / application engineering
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in LCOE calculations, plant layout (including circuit sizing, grounding, lighting protection) & SLD
• Proficiency in relevant design software e.g. PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD
• Ability to travel as required (up to 25%). Percentages will vary

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

We're looking for a proactive and experienced Application Engineer C&I Turnkey Solutions to join our team and make a significant impact on the future of our company. In this role, you will be responsible for the technical design of our C&I turnkey offers.

You will play a key role in executing our new turnkey solution business in Europe, focusing on small to mid-sized commercial and industrial solar and storage installations.

Main responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of all phases of a turnkey PV+BESS project
• Analyze customer requirements and technical constraints to ensure feasibility and alignment with project goals
• Design optimal system sizes based on available space, roof profile/usable area, and lowest Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE), considering the customer’s electricity consumption and costs
• Clearly define technical assumptions, exclusions, and project scope
• Create plant layouts and Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BoQs) for system components
• Assess and evaluate the technical deliverables of potential subcontractors and partners.
• Identify battery limit and delineate the scope-of-works between multiple stakeholders
• Collaborate with key stakeholders, including customers, Business Development Managers, Sales Managers, and the Commercial Manager Budget & Design
• Contribute to the development of standardized materials for future proposals
