Our newly established Customer Area Near Patient Care within our Business Area Roche Diagnostics Solutions combines our expertise around the Point-of-Care and Diabetes Care portfolio. The Head of Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) (d/f/m) is end-to-end accountable for on-time, in-full and cost-effective implementation of all projects with respect to products, manufacturing processes and assets in NPC Operations Mannheim & Indianapolis. Furthermore, the role is also accountable to develop and implement a long-term manufacturing technology strategy.

Develop and implement a Manufacturing Technology Strategy aligned with Global Operations Strategy for present and future projects.
Formulate, align, and execute a global long-term Asset Strategy and Implementation Masterplan, including maintenance concepts for all manufacturing areas.
Strategic development of a high performing organization which is able to master future manufacturing technology to maximize value for patients and Roche.

Plan and execute R&D project deliverables in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Supplier and Process Improvement Mastery
Accountable for strategic supplier development with Global Procurement.
Handle end-to-end technical supplier management for components and assembly.
Drive continuous process and product improvements to enhance cost, supply, quality, and compliance.
Ensure ongoing process validation for production equipment and processes.
Oversee outsourcing, insourcing, and transfer of intermediates and finished goods.

You have over 10 years of experience in the Healthcare, Food, or related industries with more than 8 years of people management experience, you excel in leading other leaders.
You bring at least 4 years of relevant Engineering or Project/Portfolio Management experience in a regulated industry and/or a cGMP environment. You are a known expert in Project Leadership and professional Multiproject Management (e.g., PMP certification would be appreciated).
You build trustful and effective relationships with colleagues and partners and you have demonstrated your leadership skills in a complex and international environment.
Your strategic thinking skills allow you to translate strategies into actionable plans effectively.
You have a strong background in international Supplier and Partner Management, ensuring seamless collaboration and optimized supply chain processes.
You possess deep knowledge in assessing investment projects from a financial and risk management perspective, with a continuous improvement mindset and a strong focus on cost reduction.
Your extensive expertise includes the start-up and validation of manufacturing equipment, utility, and process systems, along with a comprehensive understanding of documentation and testing requirements.
You have a thorough understanding of processes, equipment, automation, validation, and technical aspects.
Your strong verbal and written communication skills enable you to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Locations
Mannheim - Please be aware that the position requires a commitment to spend 30% on business trips, primarily to Indianapolis and various external partners.
