Product Compliance Management for European countries :

Oversee the compliance of products with applicable regulatory requirements (e.g., energy labelling, ecodesign, CE, REACH, RoHS, EMC, and other product-specific obligations) to ensure successful market access and ongoing product safety.

Execute regulatory strategies to ensure compliance with national and international laws, regulations, and standards for [PD specific] products across all stages of their lifecycle (development, approval, post-market surveillance).

Regulatory Intelligence and Documentation :

Support the preparation and review of regulatory documentation, including product test reports, certifications, and approvals for relevant authorities. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments by monitoring trends, policy changes, and emerging requirements. Provide guidance on the impact of regulatory changes on the business and product design.

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, Legal, Marketing, and other teams to embed compliance in the product development process from concept to commercialization.

Lead the identification and mitigation of regulatory risks. Conduct internal audits and ensure timely preventive and corrective actions for non-compliance issues.

Association Relations and Industry Engagement :

Build and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders, partners, and external organizations. Represent Midea in relevant industry associations and promote initiatives and advocacy programs. Engage in standardization organizations (e.g., IEC, Cenelec) to develop product standards and analyze regulatory impacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field (Master’s or higher preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, preferably in the home appliances industry.
  • Deep knowledge of European regulatory frameworks (e.g., CE marking, RoHS, REACH, energy efficiency directives).
  • Experience in regulatory documentation and product certifications.
  • Priority given to candidates experienced with water treatment products (e.g., water heaters, dispensers, softeners, filtration systems).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-team and regulatory authority collaboration.
  • Excellent understanding of product-specific performance and environmental standards.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Familiarity with risk management and conducting regulatory audits.
  • Proficiency in English; additional European languages or Chinese are a plus.
