Join us at Krankenhaus Waldfriede e. V. in Berlin Zehlendorf as our Abteilungsleiter IT / Head of IT (m/w/d) – Digitalisierung & Infrastruktur im Gesundheitswesen.

Located in the heart of Zehlendorf, easily accessible by bus and U-Bahn (U3), we are seeking a dedicated IT Department Head to lead our IT team.

Our hospital offers 175 beds, modern medicine with a personal touch, and a rich history. To ensure smooth operations, we need an IT leader with vision and commitment.

Responsibilities include:

1. Leading the IT department both professionally and disciplinarily, including budget and investment responsibilities
2. Strategic development of IT infrastructure and applications, and IT organization planning
3. Ensuring and optimizing daily IT operations
4. Managing IT projects, especially in hospital digitization
5. Requirements management, selecting modern IT solutions, and structured project management
6. Managing interfaces between technology and users

Ideal candidates possess:

• A degree in IT, computer science, business informatics, mathematics, or comparable qualification
• Alternatively, vocational training with an IT focus (e.g., IT specialist, software developer, programmer, IT systems clerk)
• Several years of experience in IT management or project management, preferably in healthcare
• Leadership skills, organizational talent, and solution-oriented thinking
• Knowledge of IT security and networking
• Ideally, experience with medical applications
• Strong communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to explain complex topics clearly
