Job Overview

Black Semiconductor is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Equipment Engineer – CMP (Chemical Mechanical Planarization) to support and lead the buildout of our semiconductor fabrication facility. The Role

  • Serve as the CMP equipment lead during the construction and ramp-up phases.
  • Collaborate with design and facilities teams on tool layout, cleanroom integration, and infrastructure requirements.
  • Lead the technical evaluation, selection, and procurement of CMP tools.
  • Oversee installation, utility hook-up, and qualification processes.
  • Develop preventive maintenance programs and documentation.
  • Support process integration and yield improvement efforts.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with CMP equipment in a semiconductor fab environment.
  • Hands-on experience with tool installation and fab ramp-up or expansion projects.
  • Deep technical expertise in CMP processes, slurry management, and pad conditioning systems.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure supporting slurry delivery, filtration, and waste management.
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
