Supply Chain Specialist - Customs & Foreign Trade (m / f / d)

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

In our Supply Chain Excellence team, you will promote a digitalization and AI-driven culture within the department. You will sustain awareness about the quality and efficiency impacts of AI and automation to ensure the successful development and maintenance of high-quality digital and AI products.

• You will design and implement IT tools and systems to ensure customs compliance in process design, based on requirements for customs and foreign trade operations.
• You will support foreign trade-related IT inquiries and projects, as well as assist with mergers and acquisitions.
• As an expert, you will design transaction processes that support customs savings for the BASF Group and develop proposals to optimize export and import customs declaration processes with respect to IT solutions.
• You will support the bundling of expert knowledge and promote global cooperation in customs and foreign trade activities within supply chain operations.
• You will facilitate regional knowledge transfers for business expert communities and operational service teams.

WHAT YOU OFFER

• A degree in business administration.
• Professional experience in supply chain operations, customs, and foreign trade law, including import & export.
• Familiarity with standard IT applications and sound knowledge of SAP R/3 and SAP GTS.
• Strong communication skills in both German and English.
• Project management experience is a plus.
