Responsibilities
- As (Senior) Model Developer in our Decentral Energy Markets team, you play a key role in building and optimizing our portfolio of large-scale batteries and other flexible assets.
- You implement and apply mathematical models to support long-term flexibility value analysis and assist in developing business cases for investment decisions.
- You develop, own, and maintain optimization algorithms across market channels, e.g., for the optimal operation of batteries on energy and flexibility markets in various countries.
- You stay informed about our power portfolio needs and the technical and commercial aspects of balancing products across different countries.
- You support the design of customer propositions for e-mobility, PV, or battery customers (B2B and B2C) and participate in international projects to implement new products.
Qualifications
- You hold a university degree in energy economics, engineering, natural sciences, or a comparable field.
- You have a passion for solving optimization problems with a strong analytical and structured approach, along with proven modeling skills in Python.
- You have experience in short-term power markets in Europe, including day-ahead, intraday, and balancing markets.
- Relevant professional experience in energy trading, especially in optimizing batteries or flexible assets, is a plus.
- You demonstrate responsibility and pride in delivering high-quality solutions.
- You enjoy working in diverse teams across Europe.
- You have excellent spoken and written English skills; proficiency in another European language is an advantage.
