Being part of HSBC in Duesseldorf, you'll help evolve and grow our business as a Regulatory Change Manager, Compliance (m/f/d).

What you will do:

The jobholder will manage key accountabilities in a regulatory environment that is increasingly demanding, complex, and challenging. They will cooperate with various stakeholders to ensure oversight over regulatory changes, promote a Compliance culture, and enforce Compliance requirements.

  • Provide advice on new rules and regulations, especially for Markets and Securities Services.
  • Support the Compliance team in providing independent support on regulatory changes for Global Line of Businesses, Global Functions, and/or jurisdictions within the second line of defense.
  • Drive the global and regional approach in challenge, guidance, support, and interpretation of new regulatory developments; coordinate with counterparts in other compliance teams to ensure a consistent, best practice, and ‘joined-up' approach.
  • Understand new and revised regulatory requirements, codes of practice, etc., ensuring changes and impacts are disseminated to relevant stakeholders.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to analyze regulatory developments impacting HBCE Markets and securities services.
  • Collaborate with the wider Compliance Function to oversee first-line regulatory change implementation, escalate issues, and report on completion.
  • Support implementation projects where possible.

Requirements include:

  • Good knowledge of European legal and regulatory requirements, especially regarding Markets business.
  • Understanding of European legislative processes.
  • Significant experience in Compliance, Legal, or related roles.
  • Desire to enhance compliance knowledge in a dynamic Markets environment.
  • Experience working within a matrixed environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills; confidence to engage with senior and executive staff.
  • Autonomy and teamwork capabilities.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
