The Data Search Architecture empowers E.ON to deliver exceptional user experiences and drive business growth. As an Enterprise Search Engineer (f/m/d), you will manage and optimize the search functionality of E.ON's applications and systems. Your tasks include configuring and tuning the corporate search engine to ensure optimal performance and accurate results, as well as designing and implementing search features tailored to E.ON's needs.

Meaningful & challenging - Your tasks

• Design and engineer enterprise search solutions aligned with business requirements, leveraging Lucene-based technologies such as Elasticsearch and Apache Solr.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their search needs and translate them into technical specifications.
• Engineer and design search solutions capable of ingesting data from diverse sources including databases, SharePoint, FTP servers, and web crawling mechanisms.
• Develop solutions for near real-time search, batch data ingestion, and effective data crawling to ensure timely, comprehensive search results.
• Implement ETL processes to enrich and preprocess data, enhancing relevance and usability within the search solution.
• Engineer and implement intuitive search user interfaces with forms, facets, and filters to improve user experience.
• Engage in testing and fine-tuning of the search solution, focusing on performance optimization and scalability.

Authentic & ambitious - Your profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with multiple years of experience in designing and implementing enterprise search solutions.
• Strong experience with search technologies such as Elasticsearch and Solr, including understanding of relevancy, indexing, and algorithms.
• Understanding of keyword, fuzzy, and vector search, as well as search UI design and development.
• Experience integrating search solutions with client applications, data sources, CMS systems, etc.
• Excellent communication skills, confident and engaging, with a strong service orientation.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
