Your Role

• Review current scientific literature on advanced position measurement methods
• Design experimental setups and conduct measurements
• Research and implement new algorithms to improve measurement results
• Validate findings through simulations
• Document and regularly present your results
• If pursuing a master's thesis, the specific topic and focus will be coordinated jointly

Your Profile

• Master's studies in engineering sciences, technical optics, photonics, physics, or a related field
• Strong theoretical background in optics combined with willingness to work experimentally
• Ideally, some experience in an optics laboratory
• Previous experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Python or MATLAB)
• Independent and structured working style, curiosity about challenging topics
• Interest in measurement technology and understanding its specific challenges
• A practical "hands-on" mentality in the lab
• Fluent in German or English
