Are you an experienced sales professional with a strong track record in solutions selling or laboratory automation? Do you thrive in a technical environment where your scientific knowledge and commercial acumen work hand in hand?

If you're seeking your next challenge with a growing, internationally respected manufacturer of automated laboratory systems, this opportunity could be a perfect fit.

About the Opportunity

This is a chance to join a well-established and growing manufacturer of high-quality laboratory automation solutions, supporting critical testing globally across scientific research applications. With a global presence and a reputation for excellence, this business offers both innovation and stability.

As Regional Sales Manager for Germany, you will be the face of the business across your region – responsible for driving growth, building strong customer relationships, and delivering technical sales support to laboratories and institutions using advanced analytical equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver against annual sales targets for revenue and profitability by driving strategic, solution-based selling across your assigned region.
  • Develop and execute a tailored regional sales strategy, aligning closely with broader business goals and market dynamics.
  • Identify, qualify and close new business opportunities through proactive pipeline management, while nurturing long-term relationships with existing clients.
  • Conduct in-depth customer consultations, effectively demonstrating the technical value and ROI of complex laboratory automation systems through on-site meetings, product demos, webinars, and tailored presentations.
  • Represent the company at key industry events, including trade exhibitions and scientific conferences, to raise brand awareness and generate new leads.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records in the CRM system, ensuring complete visibility across all accounts, activities, and forecasts.
  • Produce regular sales reports and market insights for senior leadership, contributing to strategic planning and forecasting.
  • Collaborate closely with international colleagues, including product management, service, and applications teams, to ensure seamless customer support and project execution.

About You

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, ideally with a focus on Analytical or Instrumental Analysis, or a closely related scientific discipline.
  • A proven track record in technical sales of high-value laboratory automation systems or analytical instrumentation, particularly into research-driven or scientific environments.
  • Strong commercial instincts combined with the ability to translate complex technical features into clear customer value propositions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with scientists, lab managers, and procurement teams.
  • A self-starter with a high level of autonomy and personal drive, capable of independently managing a regional territory and prioritising a diverse range of customer engagements.
  • Willingness to travel across North East Germany to visit clients, attend events, and support customer installations and demonstrations.
  • Comfortable with occasional international travel, particularly to our countries in Europe for training, product briefings, and team meetings (especially during onboarding).
  • Possession of a full, valid driving licence.
  • Fluent German and English speaker.

What’s On Offer

  • A full-time, permanent role within a forward-thinking, internationally operating organisation that has been a trusted name in automated laboratory solutions for decades.
  • The freedom and flexibility of a home-office setup, allowing you to manage your territory efficiently while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
  • A competitive salary package complemented by a performance-based commission structure, rewarding your success and contribution to regional growth.
  • A comprehensive onboarding and training programme delivered at the company’s global headquarters, ensuring you’re fully equipped to succeed in both the technical and commercial aspects of the role.
  • A collaborative, knowledge-driven environment where scientific understanding is respected and long-term customer partnerships are prioritised over quick wins.
  • The opportunity to represent cutting-edge lab automation technology in a region with strong growth potential, backed by an established global brand and support network.
