Job Description

Your mission during this flight:

You will be part of our Flight Test Team, providing expertise in Electric Propulsion Systems (EPS) for ground and flight tests of both crewed and uncrewed aircraft. Tests will primarily be conducted locally (Bruchsal/Lahr), with occasional remote campaigns.

You will collaborate with engineering and EPS rig testing teams to ensure test readiness, manage activities related to the aircraft DMU, and mentor junior engineers. Our organization is certified under EASA Part21J DOA.

  • Plan, monitor, and optimize ground and flight test activities for electric aircraft development and certification, focusing on EPS.
  • Assist with aircraft preparation, inspection, and repair before and after tests.
  • Manage mechanical integration of FTI systems and coordinate interfaces.
  • Assess and document tests, troubleshoot, and develop analysis tools.
  • Engage in engineering projects requiring technological advances and development.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 15+ years of experience in aeronautical development and certification.
  • Experience with electric propulsion systems.
  • Experience in testing and monitoring propulsion systems.
  • Proficiency in Siemens NX or similar CAD tools.
  • Professional-level English skills.

Preferred skills:

  • Experience in rotorcraft flight testing.
  • Aircraft MRO experience.
  • Experience as an MRB/Liaison or Flight Test Analysis Engineer/FTSE.
