Purpose of the role:
As a Business Developer Representative, you will identify sales opportunities, profile prospective customers, discover their needs, and drive new business through outbound campaigns. You will be the first point of contact for many businesses, engaging proactively to build enthusiasm, qualify their needs, and guide them along the sales process.
You will work towards individual targets within a team, focusing on expanding our customer base across EMEA. The role is phone-based, primarily involving outbound calls to customers.
Responsibilities
- Achieve quarterly SQO (Sales Qualified Opportunity) quotas and meet activity targets daily and weekly.
- Manage a portfolio of accounts to identify high-potential prospects.
- Educate customers about our offerings.
- Make outbound calls and send emails, including cold calling, engaging with decision-makers, and assessing needs.
- Understand customer pain points, gather technical requirements, and align solutions, particularly in cloud computing and Google Cloud Platform.
- Maintain accurate customer data in Salesforce.com, managing leads, contacts, and opportunities.
- Work towards team and individual KPIs such as productivity and pipeline development.
- Document customer interactions thoroughly to ensure clarity for all stakeholders.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Native German speaker.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Experience in outbound B2B sales or business development, preferably in IT.
- Understanding of cloud computing, especially Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong business acumen and ability to connect needs with solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and professionalism.
- Comfortable working towards quotas in a phone-based environment.
- Proficiency with IT tools and CRM platforms like Salesforce.
- At least 1 year of IT outbound sales experience, with strong sales skills and account management abilities.
- Ability to identify key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, proactive, and confident.
- Knowledge of the local market and business environment.
This is a full-time hybrid position in Barcelona (39 hours/week, Monday to Friday). Compensation includes a gross annual salary of €25,440 plus up to €6,360 in bonuses, a referral program, and a comprehensive relocation package including airport transfer, accommodation, health insurance, and personal development support.
