Role Overview
As a (Junior) Quantitative Trader, you will work in the fast-paced environment of equity trading on Scalable Capital's market making desk. You will collaborate with experienced traders and quantitative financial engineers, deepening your understanding of market dynamics, algorithmic trading strategies, and risk management.
Responsibilities
- Become a market maker for equities, ETFs (equity and fixed income), and other ETPs, providing liquidity and facilitating efficient trading on the European Investor Exchange (EIX).
- Design, backtest, and implement trading algorithms to enhance quoting and execution strategies, adapting to market conditions.
- Analyze market data and other large datasets.
- Leverage programming skills to automate data processing and improve data visualization.
- Support the development and optimization of trading systems for efficiency and robustness.
- Assist in treasury and liquidity management to ensure effective cash flow, funding, and risk mitigation.
- Understand and apply risk management practices and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate closely with quantitative engineers, developers, and traders.
Qualifications
- University degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience using data analysis libraries like Pandas and NumPy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Interest in financial markets, trading, and investment strategies.
- Ability to perform under pressure with strong analytical skills.
- Team-oriented problem solver with attention to detail and good communication skills.
