As a Senior Preconstruction Manager, you will be part of the Design and Construction team within AMZ Global Engineering services, shaping the future of the Construction Industry. We focus on safety, people, and sustainability, delivering high-quality buildings and capacity to meet customer needs.

This role offers opportunities to travel and work across multiple countries and cultures, with approximately 30% travel within Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage complex, cross-functional industrial projects from site selection through design, permitting, and contract execution.
2. Control project scope, drive decisions, identify blockers, and escalate issues appropriately.
3. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, communicate effectively, and influence results.
4. Oversee professional service providers to ensure skills meet project needs.
5. Perform pricing reviews, negotiate costs with developers, contractors, and consultants.
6. Estimate costs, manage due diligence, track schedules, and forecast project outcomes.
7. Supervise safety program implementation and management.
8. Maintain high standards and drive accountability.
9. Negotiate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in project management from design to operation.
• Experience with packaging processing/logistical facilities is a plus.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Willingness to travel frequently within Europe.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or STEM.
• Experience in multiple construction disciplines.
• Knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM).
• Experience with Amazon's FC launches is desirable.
• Additional language skills (French, Polish, Arabic) are a plus.

Each day, you will ensure the timely and budget-conscious execution of Amazon construction projects, leading cross-functional teams, and managing stakeholder relationships. Your communication skills will be vital for liaising with managers, vendors, and project teams, while your expertise will guide project feasibility assessments and risk management.
