As Senior Manager Accounting Principles & External Reporting (m/f/diverse), you will be the contact for internal stakeholders and external auditors regarding specific accounting issues.
- Preparation of accounting for specific parts of the Annual and Quarterly Reports, acting as contact for auditors.
- Handling of accounting issues on a regular basis, including coordination for input.
- Advising and guiding internal stakeholders to comply with IFRS and applying accounting principles and guidelines.
- Serving as a subject matter expert for complex accounting issues and supervising junior colleagues.
- Updating the Financial Reporting Manual and defining Group Accounting Policies.
- Monitoring changes in accounting standards and legal requirements.
- Providing training on accounting issues.
- Participating in projects, especially M&A projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
- University degree in Economics, focusing on Finance and Accounting.
- Significant professional experience in accounting, either at an accounting firm or in the financial department of an industrial company.
- At least five years of experience preparing consolidated financial statements, preferably in a global, publicly listed company.
- Profound knowledge of German GAAP (HGB).
- Project management experience in accounting-related projects.
- Fluent in English and German.
- Intercultural sensitivity and excellent cross-cultural communication skills.
